Getting the Help You Need, Shouldn’t Be.

There are thousands of rehab facilities throughout the United States. Finding the right treatment for you or your loved one can be stressful. We want to alleviate that stress for you. Our Rehab Admissions Specialists are available to help answer questions and get you on the right path for you. Although we would like you to entrust us with your care, there may be circumstances – either on your end or ours – that prevent that from happening. The priority is pointing you in the direction that enables you to get the help you need.

The First Step is Calling Our Admission Team

If you or a loved one are struggling with drugs or alcohol or have recently relapsed, take the first step and call our Stepping Stone Center admissions team at 866.957.4960. Our Rehab Admissions Coordinators will answer any questions you have about our detox and stabilization program and relapse recovery program and getting help.

Initial Assessments and Evaluations – Rehab Admission Criteria
Within the first 24 hours of admission, you will receive a physical examination and assessment by our nursing staff and physicians. They will take your vital signs and complete a basic laboratory analysis and drug screening to evaluate your medical condition.

In the first couple of days, you will also participate in a basic assessment to determine if you struggle with a co-occurring psychiatric disorder, such as clinical anxiety or depressive disorder. This assessment will include a psychiatric examination and psychometric testing. If a psychiatric disorder is diagnosed, initial treatment will be provided to you at Stepping Stone Center for Recovery, which may include non-controlled medication therapy.

We Are Committed to Your Confidentiality

The staff at Stepping Stone Center for Recovery is committed to providing all individuals and their families with compassionate and superior care while protecting patient information and confidentiality.

Not only do we believe each person has the right to complete privacy, federal and state law requires it. We carefully maintain medical records using the strictest accuracy and protect them at all costs.

At no time are we able to confirm or deny presence in our treatment program unless you have explicitly authorized us to do so, and then only to pre-approved people.

Our facilities are tucked away in a quiet, wooded area of Jacksonville, free from distractions.

If you are using medical coverage for your stay, it will be necessary to provide your insurance or managed care company with clinical information in order to authorize your treatment.

Paying for Treatment

Many of our patients use their health insurance to cover the costs of drug and alcohol treatment. We are an in-network participating provider for many of the major health insurance plans. Numerous PPO insurance plans also allow individuals to go outside of their network for care and services and reimburse them following treatment. As needed, we can also work with private pay options.

Our Stepping Stone Center Admissions Specialists are here to help you navigate rehab admission, including the insurance and financial details. They can explain the costs, benefits, copayments, and deductibles.

Your Insurance Coverage

During your initial phone screening, we can contact your insurance company to check on your specific benefits and match them with the different levels of care we provide. Stepping Stone Center for Recovery works with the following insurances:

  • Aetna
  • Humana
  • UnitedHealthcare
  • Value Options
  • CompPsych

This is not a comprehensive list of insurances that cover addiction treatment at Stepping Stone Center for Recovery. If you don’t see your insurance on this list, you may be able to utilize out-of-network benefits. Our Stepping Stone Center Admissions team can help determine your specific insurance coverage for treatment. You can call the Admissions team 24/7 at 866.957.4960 for assistance.

Our staff will also clearly explain any out-of-pocket expenses related to your stay in treatment. Ultimately, you and your loved ones should make an informed financial decision regarding drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Finances should not stand in the way of receiving help.

For any co-payments, or for those that choose to pay privately for their stay, we accept all major credit cards.

Getting the Most from Your Benefit Plan

Understanding what services are covered and not covered can become confusing fast. Between our Stepping Stone Center Admissions Specialists, insurance verification team, and utilization review team, we have your best interests in mind. We are here to help maximize your benefits so you can receive the treatment you need and deserve.

Our utilization review team of medical doctors can speak with the various insurance payors to authorize your treatment. They discuss your diagnosis and recommended treatment plan. The utilization review team will provide the payor with information regarding your case so you can be approved for treatment.

Utilization Review

Utilization review for our short-stay programs will consist of 3-5 reviews with your insurance to help them understand why this is medically necessary for your health and wellbeing. We make every effort to certify the appropriate, recommended care for your needs.

The goal from a Utilization Review stand point is ensure you are receiving only the care you need in a safe, medically managed manner. Sometimes insurance companies deem treatment complete prior to our medical recommendations. In the event care is denied, we will have to discharge you from treatment in an expedited manner. Discharge planning does begin on day one of your treatment. So, we will provide you with a plan that includes aftercare appointments, discharge instructions, necessary referrals, and follow-up information.

Our Utilization Review Director works directly with the on-site medical team to stay up-to-date on your case. As needed the Director will also communicate with referral sources and community partners to provide updates, if the appropriate release of information is in place.
