Substituting Drug Addiction for Food
People throughout the country love celebrities. They are consumed with the extravagant lifestyles they live and the way that they look. People want to use the products that celebrities use and want to look the way celebrities look. When standing in line at a grocery store, or pharmacy you are sure to see wracks of magazines with celebrities on them. It is likely that many of these celebrities are wearing bathing students showing off their bathing suit bodies that they spend so much time on. The general public who do not have the time that celebrities do to get as skinny or fit as they would like may turn to other methods. Anorectic drugs are being used by many individuals to suppress their appetite in an attempt to stay thin. Some are struggling with addiction to anorectic drugs. Anorectic drugs are obtained by means of a prescription or illegally on the streets. They are commonly marketed as diet pills and come in pill and capsule form to be taken orally. Studies are showing these pills can lead to health issues including but not limited to heart problems. Individuals who are using anorectic drugs often suffer from malnutrition problems. Anorectic medicines are commonly referred to as diet pills and the results of taking them can be lethal. In a society where people put such an emphasis on physical appearance many are willing to do anything to get that “perfect” body. Unfortunately those actions can come with great consequences.
